As President of King Cuts – Bret’s dedication and passion are the driving forces behind our business, and under his leadership, King Cuts has delivered consistent, high-quality results for our clients for over two decades.
Bret is responsible for setting the strategic direction and overseeing the overall success of the business. Bret brings a deep understanding of design, project management, and customer satisfaction. He works closely with the management team to develop and implement long-term goals, ensuring that the company remains competitive, innovative, and client-focused.
When he’s not transforming outdoor spaces, Bret enjoys spending time with his wife, Victoria, and their two children, Hailey and Reid. The family resides in Davidsonville, where they are proud to be active members of their vibrant community.

Keith Whetzel - Vice President
Keith and Bret are brothers and co-owners of King Cuts. Keith leads the lawn and landscape division, overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are successfully executed, and fostering strong client relationships. His passion for landscape design and unwavering commitment to excellence have been key drivers in the company's growth and success.
Working closely with the leadership team, Keith helps set company goals, drives innovation, and strives to enhance client satisfaction. His focus is on keeping the company at the forefront of the industry, consistently delivering outstanding results and transforming outdoor spaces for clients.
Outside of work, Keith enjoys spending time with his wife, Marilyn, and their two sons, Cole and Wade. The family resides in Annapolis, where they embrace their community, enjoy trips downtown, and are active members of St. Mary’s Parish.

Jorge Carreon - Project Manager
Jorge has been with King Cuts for 14 years and plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of projects from start to finish.
With over 30 years in the landscape/hardscape maintenance and installation industry, Jorge is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, working closely with clients, and ensuring clear communication and setting realistic expectations throughout the project lifecycle. He leads our teams of skilled professionals, manages subcontractors, and ensures all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Jorge’s leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction are essential in delivering exceptional outdoor spaces.
When Jorge is not managing our teams or making everyone around him smile, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children. Jorge loves fishing and weekend cookouts with family and friends.
